| Labeling MUST be a part of any consumer choice
1) Long-term effects from cloned meat are completely unknown. Data supplied from pro-agricultural business groups and PACs is completely suspect.
2) Not requiring labeling restricts consume choice.
3) FDA has a definition for "lite food" but not "cloned food" How illogical is that?
4) The FDA (along with other government agencies) are under the thrall of the neo-con, pro-business, anti-consumer Bush cabal. Until everyone associated with this administration is purged from the FDA and Washington in general, anything anti-consumer you do along these lines will be viewed as toadying to special interests.
If the end Plan does not include labeling guidelines for consumers, I and my family will cease buying any meat that does not guarantee it has been adulterated in any way. We will cease eating in any establishment that does not guarantee its meat is non-cloned from non-cloned lines.
We will raise holy hell at supermarkets and restaurants to force them to only sell meat that is un-cloned from non-cloned lines.
