GENERAL
GENERAL
I object to the suggestion that cloned animal products need not be labeled as such. Consumers are entitled to know what they are purchasing. The milk industry's interest in profit motivated their use of bovine growth hormone to which consumers overwhelmingly objected. We now have milk labelled if it was produced from cows treated with rBGH. The food industry has no right to introduce genetically altered or cloned food products into the market without informing consumers. We don't want them. If they are not labelled, we have no choice.
