| This draft is inhumane, illogical, and undemocratic. If you wish to sell cloned meat, which I disagree with at the outset, the very least you should do is provide clear labeling (for both cloned and non-cloned meats). But the problems with cloning are known: there are more defects, more disease, and earlier deaths. And you're going to put this into the food chain? (Once this is in the gene pool, you'll not be able to remove it.) Cloning is a new science that has only been in practical use for a very short time and you do not know, even though your scientists claim, the long term effects.
This is damaging to the average farmer and consumer alike. If this decree from on high goes through, I will not be eating meat any longer. Europeans and other nations, already disgusted with our food practices, surely will stop importing our food.
Please keep the mad science out of the gene pool and revoke this disastrous, apalling ruling immediately.
