| I am among many people who were shocked to read the news that cloned animals will now be available in our supermarkets. I do not agree with this for scientific/health reasons, but also for ethical reasons. Cloning is such a new reality that we really don't know the consequences. There are also benefits to biodiversity, doing away with that will increase disease because of a lack of resistance. We can see this in the plagues that destroy herds and crops every year. This means more vaccines and other foreign bodies will be needed.
I'm sure you know this already. The FDA is a leading research entity in the US today. I just wanted my voice to be heard. And while I will not consume any of these animals, I do believe that they should be labelled. Give the consumer the choice. There is apparently nothing to hide, so leave it up to the buyer.
