| I am not comfortable with the idea of NOT labeling food produced directly from a cloned animal. I think that most of the US population is of the same mind.
Whatever scientific facts are available is irrelevant right now. The early death of Dolly is still fresh in my mind, and that early death was never adequately explained in wide distribution. If the food from cloned animals is just as safe as food from non-cloned animals, then there should be no complaints from companies involved in the cloning. They'll just have to educate the public about it, and keep their prices low to persuade people to buy it. Don't let a government agency help businesses at the expense of full disclosure to its populace. http://www.fda.gov/bbs/topics/NEWS/2006/NEW01541.html http://www.cnn.com/2006/HEALTH/12/28/cloned.food.ap/index.html?eref=rss_topstories omg - what a horrible website -- it won't even accept carriage returns :( | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
