| Re: Consumption of Cloned Animal Products
I urge the FDA to withdraw its approval of animal products from cloned animals as safe for human consumption. Significant research in this area is still needed. At the very least, consumers should have the right to chose whether or not to consume these products. I strongly urge you to have products from cloned animals labeled as such so consumers can make an informed choice. I am not currently a vegatarian, however I will become an organic vegan if I can not identify cloned animal products from products coming from other animals. This is not only a health issue for me, but an ethical one as well. Consumers should not be forced to avoid meat and dairy, products important to a nutritional diet, in order to avoid eating products they ethicially disagree with and products which they fear could harm their health. At the very least give consumers a choice whether or not to eat these products.
