| Obviously FDA feels strongly that eating meat from cloning animals doesn't make a difference as eating regular meat from a farm animal. That is their findings and conclusions, however I definitely believe as a consumer that I need to know what I'm eating. Transparency of information is important here. I understand that FDA believes that labeling is unnecessary since the clone and unclone animal meats are the same. As a consumer, I believe it's necessary to know whether companies are using cloning animals or not using them to feed us.
My overall opinion about the FDA decision is that it's a bad idea. It will definitely change the food industry. I believe more people will decide to become vegetarian because of this decision, especially since FDA will not require labeling. Being a vegetarian isn't a bad thing, but farmers will suffer in the long run because of this decision. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
