GENERAL
Consumers in the U.S. expect and are entitled to truth in advertising and marketing. Cloned food of any type should be so labeled, whether or not the FDA deems it equivalent to non-cloned food. Many people will choose not to eat cloned food, and that choice is their absolute right. Denying the public such information robs people of their free choice and is contrary to the values that make this country "free." Until such time as our form of government becomes a dictatorship, free access to all information and the ability to make an informed choice must be upheld by all, including the FDA. Let the marketplace decide whether cloned food is good for America. If you do not, you will be sending the message that you are afraid to let us choose, and that will inevitably raise the question - why are you so afraid of simply telling us the truth by full disclosure labeling?
