| As an individual consuming meat, meat products and dairy products or any other product that may have some derivative from such an animal, I would strongly desire that the industry indicate on the packaging for any such product, if the meat is from a cloned animal or from an offspring. This could be as simple as 'Contains meat/derivatives from a cloned animal or its offspring'.

I do not like as a consumer to be forced to consume a product that is unnatural that I would consider to be not the best I could provide for my family. Over an above that the idea of not having any additional safeguards for such a product and also not telling the consumer of the source of the contents is sneaky and unethical.

I as a consumer would be forced to find alternate sources for such products which though an inconvenience will be better than consuming such a product.

Hence, irrespective of whether you choose to allow sale of such products with or without additional safeguards or labeling, it will still have a large impact on the consumers who will be divided into following groups.
a) Those who have no clue now of what they consume
b) Those who do not have a problem consuming such product
c) Those who will not consume such a product

I am against release of such products in any form for human consumption, and if you choose to do, I request that I would not be forced to consume such products unknowingly.

Thanks
James Kuruvilla. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
