this comment is in reference to the news aticle concerning "FDA says cloned animals are OK to eat". i think that the fda should change course when dealing with the safety of american public. instead of sleeping with business in most matters, "a news bulletin just in... the fda approves vioxx. (oops!) [Merck & Co., Inc. announced a voluntary withdrawal of Vioxx (rofecoxib) from the U.S. and worldwide market due to safety concerns of an increased risk of cardiovascular events (including heart attack and stroke) in patients on Vioxx.]", this agency should look-out for the welfare of the citizens of the united states. on the cloning issue, this could be done by labeling on products sold to the consumer, or by putting a genetic marker in these animals as to distinguish them from normal livestock. this would cover the agency's ass and then when eventually you reverse course again, the american public will know who to hold liable.
