| We have seen that the procedures of FDA over the years have been deeply flawed, politicized and corrupted. Its employees often have proven to have loyalties which are at least partly based on the interests of the industry against the bad practices of which the FDA is supposed to protect the individuals and consumers. Stevia and Aspartame come to mind just as examples.
In the medical field it is worse as you very well know yourself, so I should not need to explain that to you.
We cannot accept the risks of such flawed procedures which may unleash negative repercussions on human health, which may prove irreversible. I am a European, and I know that the next thing after FDA approval will be that the US will try to bully the EU to accept unacceptable food with the threat of sanctions under WTO, just as it has happened with GM food.
Under the present US administration there may be no respect for human life and health neither at home nor abroad, but foreigners are not completely dumbed down and you may rest assured that new political attacks on the EU will be met with a complete consumer boycott of all US food.
I hope that you take my reflections as an act of friendship as I consider myself to be a friend of the US (not to be confused with its administrations which may be ever so flawed) and I am trying to reach out to and support those of your citizens who are still able to think, form and express their opinions.
