GENERAL
GENERAL
Allowing sick, non-ambulatory cattle to be killed for animal feed will result in unnecessary pain and suffering. Downed animals should be humanely euthanized immediately, not kept alive and/or transported to be killed for rendering.

What I Can Do!

Animal advocates can help prevent the suffering of downed animals by telling the FDA that, as consumers, we oppose the use of non-ambulatory cattle in animal feed.

Comments on the proposed animal feed regulations are being accepted by mail and fax. The deadline for comments is December 20.
