| I am very upset that the FDA has caved in to pressure from the meat industry and reversed its earlier position on non-ambulatory animals.
Allowing sick, non-ambulatory cattle to be killed for animal feed will result in unnecessary pain and suffering. Downed animals should be humanely euthanized immediately, not kept alive and/or transported to be killed for rendering.
I am writing to tell you that as a consumer, I oppose the use of non-ambulatory cattle in animal feed.
