Using the carcasses of downed animals in animal feed is absolutely outrageous. I am not only referring to the potential human health consequences here, because everything in this world isn't about humans. It is horrific enough that our screwed up system of factory farming permits the suffering of all animals involved, especially those who are ill or injured. The whole thing is gross, inhumane, and a very poor reflection on our priorities as a species and a culture.
