I have directly connected depression/anxiety medications to impairment while driving long distances.
I have been taking Paxil, Wellbutrin, & Clonozapan for about 5 years without a driving problem. Then a year & 1/2 ago I started dozing off while driving long distances. After studies at three sleep clinics over the last year, It seems the medications that I have been taken are interfering with the traditional sleep disorder treatments.
I am having no real success with the use of a C-Pap machine, neurontin,(for RLS), and provigil.
We have yet to find the correct balance of medications to take away my excessive daytime sleepiness.
