I support the FDA requiring that pharmaceutical manufactures bar code any and all units of medication. I also think that any manufacturer of medication must have a unit dose package with barcoding befor they can market their drug. It is ridiculous to see a can of green beans in a grocery store have a barcode when the healthcare industry can not get Life and Death medications barcoded. I feel this would be a tremondous step towards developing safer medication delivery systems for the health care industry.
