Rice Dream Cocoa Marble Fudge - a member who does not want us to use her name called and reported that her 16-month-old son, allergic to milk, egg, soy, and peanut, had a reaction. He ate a fingernail-sized bite of this frozen product and 20 minutes later broke out in hives on his legs and began vomiting. When she called the company she was told that there is a possibility it contains milk because it is made on the same equipment as milk and "employees aren't careful these days". She said the chocolate is also made in a plant with peanuts. She was told that the company plans to change its labels to let consumers know that all their frozen desserts could contain milk. Betty Crocker Fudge Brownie Mix - (privacy)) called to tell us her 4-year-old son, allergic to egg, peanut, and tree nuts, had a reaction. He did not eat the product, but was mixing and started sneezing and coughing, and one eye swelled. _______________________________________ Debbie Scherrer, Member Communications The Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network 10400 Eaton Place, Suite 107 Fairfax, VA 22030 1-800-929-4040 Phone: 703-691-3179 Fax: 703-691-2713 http://www.foodallergy.org/ _______________________________________
