Wonder Bread Stoneground 100% Whole Wheat Bread - this e-mail is from (privacy): A loaf of Wonder Bread Stoneground 100% Whole Wheat Bread that I had purchased around December 1, 2002 contained undeclared Sesame Seeds. I contacted the company and they picked up the loaf of bread. Their lab determined that the foreign object was Sesame Seeds. Thank God I noticed the few seeds on that slice of bread because my son is deadly allergic to Sesame Seeds. The thought of what could have happen if I feed him a sandwich is unthinkable. There was no warning on the bread to alert a consumer who is looking out for food allergens. Stonyfield Farm Organic O'Soy Soy Yogurt - this e-mail is from (privacy): I have a 14 month old son who is severely allergic to milk, eggs, and peanuts. I recently bought Stonyfield Farm organic O'Soy soy yogurt. I read the ingredients label several times, and called the company to verify that no allergens were concealed in the "natural flavors" ingredient. During the call, I stated that I needed the information for my son's allergy protection. I spoke to "(privacy) ", and in the conversation was assured that there were no egg, milk, or nut products in the yogurt. I was just about to serve a spoonful to my son when I noticed a warning on the container, "May possibly contain traces of milk". The warning was no where near the ingredients list or nutritional information. It was by the barcode, and I had not seen it before. Soy Dream - (privacy) called to tell us her son, allergic to milk, egg, peanut, almond, cashew, and pistachio, had a reaction. He woke from a 2 hour nap and was fine until he drank a cup of Soy Dream beverage. Immediately he broke out in hives all over his body and had a dry cough. (privacy) gave him Benadryl, and watched him carefully with the EpiPen in hand and the doctor on the phone. The symptoms soon subsided. When she called the manufacturer she was told that in the facility where Soy Dream is made, once a month the equipment is used to make almond milk, but it is cleaned carefully and there is "no way" there could be any almond in the soy milk.
