Goldie's Natural Rice Crunch Carob Bar - (privacy) called to tell us her 7-year-old son, allergic to milk and egg, had a reaction. He ate a small portion of this bar and soon after his eyes got itchy and he broke out in hives over much of his body. She gave him Benadryl and EpiPen Jr. When she called the manufacturer she was told that when they get in the big block of carob it could have traces of milk. He said they plan to change their labels, which currently say "no milk" on the front and list no milk ingredients. _______________________________________ Debbie Scherrer, Member Communications The Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network 10400 Eaton Place, Suite 107 Fairfax, VA 22030 1-800-929-4040 Phone: 703-691-3179 Fax: 703-691-2713 http://www.foodallergy.org/ _______________________________________
