Comments for FDA General
1. General Comments Standardized bar coding could negatively impact hospital pharmacies if substitutable generics are not recognized as the same by the technology. If a pharmacy stocks Brand Y of a drug, then the next week gets Brand X--will the bar code reader know that is the correct drug? The NDC number will be different and Brand Y could still be located in automated dispensing machines. How will this work?
