Comments for FDA General
Questions
1. General Comments It would be a disservice to the American public not to allow the use of supplements containing ephedrine alkaloids such as MaHuang. When properly combined with other herbs and administered at the proper dosage the benefits far outway any adverse effects experienced by those who have clearly ignored any warnings or statements of caution. If we limit or discontinue the use of these supplements because of the risk that some people may abuse the products then why not limit or discontinue the use of asprin, anti acids, over the counter sleep aids, and a miriad of others so vast I can not begin to list. It simply is not fair to withhold products that bring relief to responsible consumers becuase of the neglect of others.
