The People’s FDA is currently compliant with Drug companies in this nonsensical direct to consumer advertising campaign. What can you possibly be thinking? That we are all pharmacists, chemistry majors, or physicians? We know little or nothing about drugs, how they work, or how they interact with our bodies or existing medications. As consumers of medications ordered by our physicians we only know how pretty the women are, or how fancy the ad appears in print (with butterflies), or on the television (with moving butterflies). We expect our physicians to know what medications we require, and not take their valuable time explaining to us why we don’t need some fancy Drug Lord’s advertisement with great cleavage on T.V.. If the FDA wants to grant these Drug Lords greater protection of “free speech” then at least don’t ask consumer seniors to be compliant with our FDA’s predetermined justification. Ok, here it is: The FDA’s friends are closing in on a $200 Billion market; screw the seniors, let them die – more money, more money, more money for our Drug Lords! Satisfied? Quote me! R.
