I am currently an English conversation teacher in Seoul, Korea. I have learned many things about people in general since I have been living here. Koreans have yet to experience the problems of commercial culture, but the next few generations have it coming. Their commercials are completely unregulated and the result is about to be devestating. The Koreans, naturally small people, have begun to show signs of obesity as anyone can see in their high school students who enjoy the western conveniences of McDonalds and Coke. Their children are violent and rude, they can only being subdued by gifts that they desire. Most importantly, their people do not realize that things are famous because of commercials as opposed to being in commercials because they are famous. The Korean people are much like the average American in relation to their knowledge of the rhetoric that is employed by corporations. Both groups live only one life while corporate psychological knowledge has had many generations to practice and hone its skills. It is only right and fair that our government use the vast knowledge that it has attained during its history to help its people from the words of the powerful. Please, make comercials tell the truth, regulate thier ability to manipulate. It is in the nations best interest. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
