Secondly, I would get on the support groups which you can click on to from www.dorway.com Dr. H. J. Roberts has declared Aspartame Disease to be a global plague and published a medical text on it, Aspartame Disease: An Ignored Epidemic, www.aspartameispoison.com or www.sunsentpress.com or 1 800 814 - 9800. There is a chapter on fibromyalgia and joint pain. Actually fibromyalgia is a diagnostic wastebucket. Physicians think aspartame is an additive so they don't correlate the joint pain it causes with the problems. They have been lied to by the manufacturer, the FDA and the professional organizations that are funded by industry. In this medical text is a chapter on detoxificaiton. You should flood the body with distilled water but out of a glass container not plastic. Aspartame is a chemical hypersensitization so anyone who has used it now is chemically sensitive. There are other suggestions in this chapter. Also, print out on www.dorway.com Dr. Roberts position paper, aspartame and fibromyalgia and arthritis, and give it to your physician. Tell him about the medical text and Dr. Blaylock's book Excitotoxins: The TAste That Kills. I'll send you the class action notice which you can give to him so he will also know how to get them. Physicians can't even diagnose themselves much less patients. Dr. Richard Sabates is a physician who was also drinking diet drinks like you and had the same symptoms. He went from physician to physician and I think ended up at the Mayo Clinic. No one could help him, then he happened to read the Townsend Letter for Doctors where there was Dr. Roberts article on aspartame and joint pain. He got off of his diet drinks and the pain went away. He then wrote a book and his first chapter was titled My Aspartame Nightmare, basically thanking Dr. Roberts for saving his life. He gave us permission to put that chapter on web so you can read it. The problem is aspartame hardens the synovial fluids. And orthopedic surgeons have told me that in those who have used aspartame they find necrosis under the joint. As to testing, in the medical text it does tell you that you can do a blood phenylalanine and blood aspartic acid test and they should be high in aspartame victims. Also, we find in people who have used it for years usually the liver enzymes are off the chart. The Trocho Study done in l998 shows that the formaldehyde converted from the wood alcohol in aspartame accumulates in the cells and damages DNA. Most of the toxicity is in the liver but there is substantial toxicity in the kidneys, adipose tissue (fat cells), brain and retina. There has recently been a study on fibromyalgia at the University of Florida, several months ago. It showed that if you eliminate excitotoxins - aspartame and MSG, the symptoms of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue disappear. So its all documented. A good web site on MSG is www.truthinlabeling.org Lives have been shattered all over the planet because a deadly chemical poison for marketed for human consumption. You can write for recall of aspartame now by emailing fdadockets@oc.fda.gov with the FDA docket number in the subject line - 02P-1317, then in the text your case. We have until January 12th.
