Please do not authorize anyone to inoculate children with the live smallpox vaccine!!!! This is a live vaccine injection, which, similar to the live polio vaccine that was discontinued recently, can cause its own infections. I understand that the live polio vaccine was discontinued because there were too many adverse reactions and cases of polio caused by it. These children could develop a life threatening reaction or could even develop smallpox. Do not use our defenseless children as guinea pigs for defense against adult threats like bioterorism, which may or may not materialize.
