Comments for FDA General
Questions
1. General Comments To Whom it May Concern-As an early childhood professional who regularly conducts developmental evaluations on 3-5 year old children with special needs I consider it inhumane and unethical to expose a group of our youngest citizens to trials of a risky smallpox vaccine. There continue to be unresolved questions about how early and how often certain vaccinations should be given to young children, and about the effects of the various vaccine compounds on the development of the brain and central nervous system. It has been suggested that live virus contained in the MMR vaccine may be responsible for gastrointestinal deterioration in some young children. How can you possibly be considering administering this risky vaccine to young children when it has NEVER been administered to anyone else? It is an extrememly unsafe and unethical propsition which could have life long developmental implications for the children involved. Between 3 and 5 years old the brain develops at an unprecented rate. What are you thinking?
