The pharmaceutical corporations that advertise prescription drugs are really blowing it, and it's not just my opinion, but the opinion of many people that I talk with about it. Prescription drugs are just that. Prescribed by a physician. If a patient comes in and says "Doctor, I've heard about a medication that might help my condition, and I would really like to try it", thus putting un-needed pressure on the physician to prescribe the medication. Not only that, but advertising costs money, and the money comes in by the companies charging more for their goods, thus impacting the patients' finances. I ask of you to consider the impact of the advertising costs on how much the companies charge for the medications, and in turn, to push for legislation to remove all advertising of drugs that must be prescribed by a physician. Please forward this message to the appropriate department. Sincerely, Gunnar J. Wiskoff __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
