1. General Comments

The Food Certification Program staff at the American Heart Association support the publication of a final rule regarding the 10% nutrient contribution requirement (a.k.a. the jelly bean rule) as applied to health claims, and believe that this should be moved to the A List for fiscal year 2002. Additionally, we support including the following priorities on the A List: Publish final regulation for trans fatty acid labeling and Conduct scientific workshop on soy safety issues.
