Please support Docket #  98P-0151/CP1 to prohibit the slaughter of downed
animals.  

By cutting out the market for downed animals, the livestock industry will
have more of an incentive to treat animals humanely, euthanizing "downed
animals" on-farm, and more importantly,
preventing the injuries that cause "downed animals" in the first place.

The only way to curb brutality in the marketplace is to direct penalties at
the pocketbooks of those in power.  Please help make our country more
respectful of the animals that, voluntarily or not, hive their lives that we
may live.  After all, you are what you eat.
