Dear FDA officials,

It has come to my understanding that the FDA is presently accepting public 
comment on its proposed rules on genetically engineered foods.

Please consider my thoughts:

That the proposed rules -

don't require mandatory pre-market testing, environmental review, or 
labeling and that they restrict voluntary labeling of non-GE foods and fail 
to ensure public access to adequate information for independent review 
reinforces my cynicism and disgust with government. Such actions clearly 
demonstrate how completely big business controls the process and how 
legitament public concerns are ignored.

Among other GE food issues such as toxicity, allergic reactions, and mutant 
gene population explosions that the FDA wouldn't require manadatory GE food 
labeling is blatantly and outrageously anti-consumer and clearly 
demonstrates whose interests the FDA promotes - the interests of 
agro-industrial giants. To you in the FDA who are working for these 
companies and to all the companies who are manipulating this process - YOU 
SUCK!

To ram GE foods down an ignorant public throat is simply evil. Please be 
aware that your playing with fire here and unforseen consequences will bite 
you in the ass down the line.

Please, do the right thing and do your jobs, protect and inform the public 
instead of treating us like ignorant pawns in your money-grubbing 
machinations.
