I also feel that much more testing of these foods needs to be conducted before they are approved for release to the public. I beleive that these foods have the potential of doing great harm both to those that consume them and to the environment, and that people deserve to know if the food they consume contains genetically modified ingredients. It would be a great injustice if the FDA/Dept. of Agriculture caves in to Biotech lobbying and allows these scientific experiments to be performed on people with out so much as a label to warn them. I was impressed by the response to citizen input regarding the organic standards, and I am hopeful that the same consideration will be given to this issue.
