Using intelligent caution in dealing with genetic engineering is a wise prevention measure. I know you want to help feed people, but there is enough knowledge and there are enough resources to feed people food that we know provides reliable nourishment. It is a matter of reorganization of human delivery systems. This is much safer than altering our world's gene pool. Your proposed guidelines for Genetic Engineering are extremely dangerous. We must protect ourselves. You are the guards for the world. Be wise and far-sighted. Otherwise, in this climate of suing people, if the allergic reactions from GE food are found fatal or if the combined effect of all the changes kills people, I predict that you personally will be sued in the coming months or years. But when you change the genes in plants you may never be able to correct the error since pollen goes unrestricted all over the world and damage can be irreparable. Please be great leaders. Thank you.
