My family and I consider it unacceptable to deny us and all Americans the right to know what is in our food. Give us the right to protect ourselves from potentially hazardous GE foods that haven't undergone mandatory safety testing! This is ridiculous and goes against our freedom of choice in the marketplace. The proposed "voluntary labeling" guidelines will NOT WORK, because biotech companies and food manufacturers have vehemently opposed labeling in the past and will not voluntarily label their foods in the future. Therefore, I urge you to keep all genetically engineered ingredients and crops off the market unless or until they are independently safety tested, and labelled. Sincerely, Rachel Scheuering
