If ten years from now certain gene combinations which are destructive to other forms of life cannot be contained, because they are forever loose in the environment gene pool, you will be held responsible. You are allowing others to mess with life forms which took millions of years to develop. These unnatural life forms will cause life to proceed in an unnatural way. Can you say with certainty that there will be no adverse consequences? Don't you think it prudent to require public testing of any proposed life forms, in a controlled way, before they are allowed to possibly create unintended consequences, which can never be reverted to their original condition, that God made? Get real or get out.
