Subject: Genetically Modified Foods
Dear Friends -- 
I am a journalist and network television producer.  I have followed the GMO 
issue since it emerged in the news years ago.  Then and now I strongly oppose 
allowing these foods into the food supply without mandatory labeling and 
thorough testing.  I urge your office to: 
Require mandatory pre-market safety testing; require pre-market environmental 
review; mandatory labeling of GE foods; allow non-GE foods to be labeled;    
require much more than a  letter of notification prior to the marketing of a 
GE food; a mechanism that ensures public access to adequate information for 
independent review.
