Many, many people do not know. The FDA has the responsibility to listen to ALL scientists who are knowledgable in GE foods. The FDA has the responsibility to require labeling of foods that are genetically altered, being that many scientists agree that GE foods are not safe. The FDA has the responsibility to work toward the best interest and safety of the consumer and not in the best interest and financial gain of the food and drug companies. As a consumer: I have the right to know (through labeling) if the food I consume is genetically engineered. I have the right to know (through labeling) if the food I consume is not genetically engineered. I am asking you to please work in the best interest and safety of the consumer.
