I cannot believe that humans consider themselves the most important
creatures on this planet..  I cannot believe that they in turn feel they
have the right to use the other creatures that have been around a lot
longer than us for our mere indulgence and try to convince ourselves and
each other that it's for our 'health'.  For what activity do humans do
in this 'easy chair' lifestyle we all lead that necessitates us eating a
slab of meat?  Sitting in chairs and on couches?  All anyone needs to do
is read a few paragraphs to become educated enough to realize that meat
equals disease and early death.  That if we were all vegetarians we
would all live longer happier lives and no one would go hungry... I
guess the couch manufacturers really outdid themselves. Humans have done
nothing for this planet other than make a mess of it.  It's chief
contribution has been the abundance of methane and carbon dioxide into
the air, garbage onto the land, excrement and other toxins in the water
and of course ceaseless, meaningless banter everywhere. That humans are
kept from knowing the truth about where their meat comes from and what
the source of this meat actually is...  ie: sentient loving creatures of
god, is a travesty.  What is being done to billions and billions of
innocent voiceless animals is worse than any of the holocausts ever
committed against humans...  If logic were still implemented as a common
method of thought, the way it once may have been long ago, our military
would be at the gates of these factory farms with the same veracity it
had during World War II.  I urge you to, at the bare minimum, make it a
federal crime for the agri-business to let it's 'animals' be dragged to
the slaughterhouses when they are too ill and mistreated to even stand
on their own.  I wonder how anyone who knows this truth and does not put
all their energy into abolishing it can have a decent night sleep, let
alone a 'decent' non-vegetarian meal.  Perhaps they are the decedents of
self-righteous people who long ago paraded the streets with signs urging
people not to worry, that the earth is still flat.  My god, it is beyond
me that the dollar bill can turn humanity into the sham and mockery of
itself that it has become..  Please have a conscience... Remember that
we are only alive for a short time and have an eternity to recollect and
contemplate our sins.
