I am sending this message to ask that you please support the petition put 
forth by the Farm Sanctuary that would prohibit the slaughter of downed 
animals.  Docket no. 98p-0151/cp1 would prohibit inhumane treatment of animals 
being sent to slaughter.  Some of these animals are pushed or dragged to the 
slaughter house, and they often times have diseases that can be transmitted to 
humans.  These animals should be dealt with in a very humane manner, and in a 
way that protects consumers.
