Subject: Help End the Inhumane Treatment of Downed Animals

Dear U.S. Food and Drug Administration Dockets Management Branch,
I would like to express my concern about the treatment of downed animals
across the country in the livestock industry.  I urge your administration
to prohibit the SLAUGHTER of downed animals.  These animals endure
unimaginable suffering and abuse.  This practice is unacceptable and humane
sloutions should be considered, reviewed, and implemented.  I am refering
to the petition's docket number, 98P-0151/CP1.
