Questions
1. General Comments As an educator, and a health care professional - both within an organization that is directly involved with the engineering and distribution of devices and material that 'directly effect the quality of human life' - I must earnestly protest the pending approval of any policies and procedures that 'in effect' bypass a complete and thorogh testing and approval process. ESPECIALLY for ANYTHING having to do with the food supply that my children, and I, may come in contact with. Look at the example of the meatless corn-dogs. HOW did the genetically engineered corn reach the manufacturer? Why should it be up to those manufacturers who do not wish to use GE products, to test their own products to validate for/against their suppliers? This is FAR TOO dangerous to allow BIG BUSINESS to bypass the future health of this nation's citizens - just to ensure a good quarterly profit today.
