I ask:
That all GE foods be labeled to give you a choice
For mandatory pre-market safety testing and environmental
review of all GE foods
For a moratorium on all GE foods until these requirements
are met.
I am concerned that:
New proposed FDA regulations do not adequately protect me &
my family from the risks of GE foods
Emerging studies show GE foods could create new toxins,
antibiotic resistance, allergic reactions, and other
dietary risks for consumers and therefore should not be
generally recognized as safe (GRAS)
Individuals with ethical or religious dietary concerns
may be unwittingly consuming foods that contain genes from
other species
GE foods have been shown to be a siginificant threat to the
environment
GE agriculture puts organic foods at risk-organic crops are
being contaminated by genetic drift
