Subject: Stop Downed Animal Trade

Hello, I am writing to you in hopes that you will grant petition 98P-0151/CP1  to prohibit the slaughter of downed animals.  These animals are very sick and should not be allowed to enter the human food chain.  Also, it is impossible to move these animals in a humane fashion so they pushed with tractors or dragged with chains which causes numerous, painful injuries.  These animals are a very small portion of animals slaughtered so by granting this petition it will not affect the market and economy.  PLEASE grant petition 98P-0151/CP1.  Thank you.
