To whom it may concern:

This e-mail is in support of a petition filed by the
Farm Sanctuary that would prohibit the slaughter of
downed animals, docket number 98P-0151/CP1. It is
grossly cruel and inhumane to shackle, drag, or push
an animal with a tractor or forklift. These animals
are sick and weak in the first place, are we just
trying to see how much suffering these animals can
take? 
The meat that comes from these animals is highly
questionable too. Many of these animals have bacterial
contamination and there is evidence that many of them
are afflcted with a form of BSE. We sure don't want to
get involved with Mad Cow Disease here!
