I am very concerned with the current proposed requirements for Bioengineered Foods. I believe that bioengineered foods must be labelled as such, and that they must be tested by the FDA for safety prior to their market release. The current proposal seems to require neither labelling nor testing by the FDA. It seems that if such requirements go forth, a great safety hazard would ensue. Please impose more stringent requirements including, if not limited to, mandatory labelling of bioengineered foods and testing that will be done by the FDA.
