1. General Comments
|
I OPPOSE the FDA's new proposed rules and guidance on genetically engineered food. The agency's voluntary labeling and notification proposals are totally inadequate to protect human health, the environment and my right to be fully informed. I insist on the following:
- all GE food and food ingredients should be clearly labelled;
- GE foods should NOT be assumed to be safe;
- GE foods should be eliminated from all food products until long range tests PROVE they are safe for consumption.
