I am writing you today to URGE you to grant the above referenced petition to 
PROHIBIT the slaughter of downed animals.  The trade in downed animals meat 
is an atrocious practice and must be stopped.  As a tax paying citizen whose 
tax dollars go to support the FDA, I must insist that you consider the wished 
of the public.  Far too much leniency is happening in the FDA with respect to 
animal welfare, suffering and cruelty.
