Subject: Genetically Modified Food Labeling

Dear Sir or Madam:

I am writing to urge modification of the proposed rules on genetically
modified foods to require full disclosure on food labeling.  While it
may be true that many if not most modifications are harmless, it should
be up to the public to decide.  I find it ironic that free-marketeers,
who want the market to decide everything, oppose labeling of GE food
precisely because they know that the market is not yet ready to accept
such foods.  Consumers have a right to full disclosure of the nature of
all of the ingredients of their food!
