I lose my voice, I become weak all over and I cannot think straight. This is a direct result of having been poisoned by new carpet put in my office in April, 2000. I had to have the carpet removed but the result of it is that I am highly sensitive to fragrances around me. As a result I am not able to attend family gatherings, go out to restaurants, go to the movies, go to the grocery store, or WORK!.....my life is limited. I have to stay home. Anyone that comes to visit has to be careful not to wear any product which contains fragrances. The fact is that these fragrances are from neurotoxic chemicals that have never been tested for safety. NEVER BEEN TESTED FOR SAFETY. How can this be? We are virtually surrounded by chemicals in our daily lives and they are not tested for safety. Look at the rise in illness in people-- the rise in asthma.....This has changed my life. Is it fair that I have to suffer like this so someone can "smell good"? Is it not the same problem as experiencing "second hand smoke" and getting cancer from it? Why can't you do something about this? Don't I have the right to breath clean air? Air that won't harm me?
