That sounded innocent enough. My entire family emerged severely damaged following the "deodorization" that was performed. This occurred at a time when little was understood about things classified as industrial solvents. All of us immediately fell ill and eventually all of us became chemically sensitive. All of us were damaged beyond belief, the only difference in our response was the level of damage which corresponded with the amount of exposure each received. Since the time, nothing has been done to prevent this from happening again. Others have since fallen ill such as ourselves. Today my husband is dead. My children, now grown, survived but one is still more sensitive than most. I remain very reactive to this day. Perfumes and scented products can be some of the worse offenders, causing serious reactions. Worse yet, few professionals comprehend the problems such products can create. One of the more difficult places for me is in a standard hospital where little consideration for the chemically sensitive is taken into account. We need help....we need you. Please help us and hopefully help prevent others from joining this damaged group by taking measures to ensure the safety of all. The time is now. B.
