I want to express my strong conviction that the FDA should REQUIRE all bioengineered food products sold in the United States to be explicitly labelled, specifically listing all ingredients that may be genetically modified. There is insufficient understanding of the ecological ramifications of bioengineering to assure the public that such foods are safe; and without such labeling, it is impossible for the consumer to make an informed decision about food purchases. Failing to provide the public with this information is tantamount to interfering with our free market economy, which is suposed to be driven by consumer CHOICE. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
